Material for Test

Spanish 1

Here are some things you should know for the exam on Thursday:

- Interrogative expressions
Como - How? (Como estas?)
Cual - Which? (Cual es la fecha de hoy?)
Cuantos - How much/many? (Cuantos estudiantes hay en la clase?)
Cuando - When? (Cuando es tu cumpleanos?)
Que - What? (Que es tu numero de telefono?)
Donde - Where? (De donde eres?)

- Commonly mistaken vocabulary
Hay - There is/are
(Cuantos dias hay en diciembre?)

la semana - week

el primero - the first

- The numbers
You'll have to know the numbers up to 100 for the exam, but please to continue to study the numbers past 
that!

- For the speaking part of the exam, you will have to ask and answer questions that include the following information:

Greeting
Where you are from
How you are feeling
How old you are
Your job (Cual es tu profesion?)
Your birthday
Your telephone number

You can also add more to your conversation if you choose. You will be randomly placed with another student to do the speaking part.



Spanish 2

Here is what you will need to study for the exam on Friday:

- The future using ir + a + infinitive
(Yo voy a bailar en la fiesta esta noche.)

- The preterite tense (past) of regular verbs, and the verb "ir". Accents count! You should also recognize key words for the preterite as outlined on the yellow handout that you received in class.

- The verb "gustar". You should be able to tell about things that you like, as well as what others like.
(A mi me gusta estudiar. / A ellos les gustan los videojuegos.)

- The different meals of the day and foods that one might eat for them. This information should be in your notebooks.

- The different rooms of the house and things that can be found in those rooms. Similar to what you did for the "Mi Casa Ideal" assignment.

- How to describe yourself or someone you know using descriptive adjectives.

There will also be a speaking and listening portion of the exam, however that might have wait until Monday in the event that we run out of time. If you have any questions about the exam, please feel free to e-mail me at ticco118@gmail.com

Spanish 1
- Study for your exam Thursday. Remember to study pages 24-25 of the textbook, as well as the exercises online at www.pasoapaso.com
- Practice the numbers from 0-10,000

Spanish 2
- Finish the rough draft of your bio-poema. If you have already finished the rough draft of your poem, then be prepared to type your poem in class tomorrow.
- Continue to study for the exam on Friday. I will post an outline either later this evening or tomorrow about what you will be responsible for on the exam. Be sure to look on the "Spanish 2" page of the blog for the exam outline.

Spanish 1
- Please finish the conversation that we started in class today. Remember: you only have to choose 2 of the 4 people on the sheet to create a conversation.
- Study the commands that we used for "Simon dice" on pages 21 and 22 of the textbook.
- Do something fun this weekend!

Spanish 2
- Please finish the drawing and description of "Mi Casa Ideal". It would be awesome of you colored it. Make sure that you describe your house well, and in complete sentences.

- Practice the Spanish alphabet by using the phonetics on page 14 of the textbook.

- Likes / Dislikes (chart with 5 likes and 5 dislikes, write a sentence for each).
- Have your parent / guardian sign the Recovery Room form.
